I've been reading the book of Jeremiah. Still on the way..
It's kinda scary actually.
Because of our sinfulness.
Create evil.
Doing it.
Still doing it.
Do not want to repent.
Oh man.
Like in Verse 17, Chapter 12
It says, "But if any nation does not listen, I will completely uproot and destroy it," declares the Lord.
And when we complain. Why this God. Why that God.
Even me complaining all the times.
Like in Jeremiah 13: 21-22
What will you say when the LORD sets over you those you cultivated as your special allies?
Will not pain grip you like that of a woman in labor?
And if you ask yourself, "Why has this happened to me?" -- It is because of your many sins that your skirts have been torn off and your body mistreated.
AIYOH. WHY LAH. Again.
"....he will now remember their wickedness and punish them for their sins" Jer 14:10
Scary. Imagine..YOUR close friends/ mum/ or God if you have one..
He/She remembers your wickedness. Like WOAH. And punish me/you.
Moving on.
Jer 15:1 "The Lord says, ".....Send them away from my presence! Let them go!.."
Jer 16:18 "I will repay them double for their wickedness and their sin, because they have defiled my land with the lifeless forms of their vile images and have filled my inheritance with their detestable idols"
Gosh gosh gosh. Imagine how many billion gazillion times I'd done wrong because of my stupid sinful nature.
Character of a sinful person, is not only when someone is wicked, guilty, corrupted, or a criminal-who-definitely-deserve-death-in-your-own-judgement or whatever.
But also, when one does not obey God, going against God by living in his own way in life.
